Vestjylland og Thy — the Marguerite Route through West Jutland and Thy

Wide beaches, shifting dunes and enormous skies define Denmark's wild North Sea edge. The Marguerite Route runs up through Thy National Park — the country's first wilderness — past the surf breaks of Cold Hawaii, working lighthouses and wartime bunkers half-buried in the sand, while Ringkøbing Fjord and its fishing harbours shelter just behind the coast.

The Marguerite Route is Denmark’s 4,203 km signed scenic byway, marked by the brown daisy sign and divided into 8 regional sections. The full route is shown faintly on the map below for context.
